“Sparky” is comfortably nestled in, primed for the first phase of his rejuvenation journey. 🧡☮️ This year marks the 50th anniversary of my 1973 VW Campmobile bus. A big shoutout to my brother Paul for accompanying me to Bennington, and to my wife Jenny for her timely rescue with gas cans (the fuel gauge is out of action, and we ran dry in Benson). Initially, I braced for a tow, but to my delight, it fired up and ran smoothly, so we opted to drive it instead. The mechanic is Air Cooled Express – around 13 miles from where I live. The bus sailed dreamily through the hills north of Omaha. Eagerly anticipating getting it into even finer shape and restoring its classic charm!
